Making hotel travel possible for all
During my 3+ years at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, I grew into much more than a copywriter and content strategist.
Property descriptions
When I first started, a large part of my job was writing descriptive property copy for new openings. My team would receive details about a soon-to-be-opened hotel—including location, amenities, and more—and we’d be responsible for turning that information into a full, engaging description.
Promotional copy
Another responsibility of mine was finding ways to market hotel deals and special offers across all of our digital channels—such as web, app, email, and social.
Email marketing
Using analytics, I know how to craft a subject line that will boost open rates and a strong call to action that will increase click-through rates.
Loyalty/CRM
Through email, SMS, and app push notifications, I worked with our loyalty and customer relationship management teams to keep members engaged with Wyndham Rewards—one of the best hotel loyalty programs out there.
Project management
During my time at Wyndham, I took over as the unofficial (and sometimes official) leader of high-priority projects, including new brand integrations, brand standards implementation, and more. For each of these tasks, I created a helpful project management Google sheet that multiple teams could use to collaborate—and tracked our progress toward the launch date.
Content management/digital production
At Wyndham, we used Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as a content management system. After writing/editing property descriptions, my team was responsible for authoring and publishing the hotel pages in AEM.
App & UX copywriting
Working with the most talented UX, design, and product teams in the business, I helped create essential copy for a brand new Wyndham Hotels & Resorts app.
We wanted to make sure we had a bold home screen, with personalization elements, the ability to book quickly, and hotel deals.
To gamify the experience, we let users earn and collect stamps for in-app achievements, like completing their profile, in the app passport.
